Australian Dollar Extends Slide Against Majors

The Australian dollar continued to trade in a negative territory in European deals on Thursday.

The aussie slipped to 0.7545 against the greenback, its lowest since May 2009, while touching a new 4-week low of 1.4333 against the euro.

The aussie hit 90.26 against the yen for the first time since February 3. Against the loonie and the NZ dollar, the aussie fell to a 3-month low of 0.9530 and record low of 1.0109, respectively.

The aussie is likely to find support around 0.745 against the greenback, 1.44 against the euro, 88.00 against the yen and 0.945 against the loonie.
