Cyprus’ EU measure of inflation decreased at a faster pace in June, figures from the Statistical Service showed Tuesday.
The harmonized index of consumer prices, or HICP, fell 2.1 percent year-over-year in June, faster than previous month’s 1.7 percent stable decline. Prices have been falling since December last year.
Utility costs plunged 9.1 percent annually in June and clothing and footwear prices went down by 2.2 percent.
At the same time, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco grew 1.1 percent in June and health costs inched up 0.3 percent.
